Driving Student Engagement and Awareness

Our in-house WASB marketing team collaborates with graphic designers and marketing leaders at the WFAA to create promotional materials, drive attendance to WASB events, and increase awareness of our student organization. During team meetings, Marketing Team members report to one of the other five teams (Development Block, Campus and Community Engagement, Professional Connections, All Campus Party, and DEI) to act as a Marketing rep.

The role of a Marketing rep is to help event co-chairs brainstorm ideas and execute their vision for community outreach. Additionally, members of the marketing team may serve in more specialized roles: Social Media Chair, Photo/Video Coordinator, and WASBlog/Website Chair. If you are passionate about engagement, curating content, and creativity (or want to learn), this is the team for you.

Promotional Materials

Ever wonder who writes those WASB emails that come to your wisc email? That’s us! Members of our marketing team collaborate with event co-chairs on each team to plan, create, and distribute promotional materials like emails, social media posts, and event graphics.

Brand Management and Engagement

As a marketing team, we are constantly striving to refine the WASB voice and increase engagement with students. Whether raising awareness of our “brand” or supporting our teams and outside student initiatives, we strive to use our platform to elevate the voices of our members and the student body.
